Well, I’m sure I’m feeling the way the rest of you are… incredibly ready for winter to be DONE. It was 27 degrees when I walked Jake to the bus this morning and we both looked at each other and agreed that it felt warm out. There’s something wrong with that. I’m pretty sure every year I tell myself around this time that the previous year seemed warmer at this point, but I’m almost positive last year was at least a little warmer than it is now?! Nonetheless, here we are. February consisted of a lot of time inside, playing in our bounce house, eating chocolate from Valentine’s day, the occasional trip to Chick fil A, and also a couple moments outside to sled or trudge through the snow.
We also have some bittersweet news to share- I’ve contacted my clients via email, but in case you haven’t had a chance to read it this past week, our family is going to be moving to Ohio this spring. This move is bittersweet for so many reasons. We LOVE our community here and it truly has become our family over the last 10 years, but we also have siblings, cousins, and grandparents in Ohio and we will be moving back to the town that I grew up in (and the town Dan and I met in 🙂 ) Of course, regarding my photography business, that is something I am most sad about. I can’t replace all of you in Ohio, and while I officially started my business in NY, it really took off here in Chicago. I can’t thank all of you enough for supporting my business and entrusting me to take your photos. I’ve grown SO much as a photographer in these Chicago suburbs and I’m so incredibly thankful for all of you. I hope to keep in touch and in my email I referred some photographers in this area that I love, but if you have any other questions please let me know. I love all of you guys!
I do hope to continue my business in Ohio, but it will probably take me a while to get our family settled this summer so I may do a couple sessions here and there but it will definitely be a season of transition for me. If there is anyone who reads this little space and is interested in a session in Ohio just let me know 🙂 I’ll be hoping to continue this small business of mine in the Hudson, Ohio area.
