Whenever I capture this family on camera I get SO many comments. From their adorable boys to their picture perfect parents they are so fun to document because they just have fun and laugh and run around and I get to truly capture them- which I love 🙂 This time though, I was so excited because I was going to capture the birth of their new brother, sweet Brody. I arrived right when this momma was 9 centimeters dilated and ready to push- just in time to snap a few ‘before photos’ and get situated to meet their new little man. Just minutes after he arrived and I had taken a couple pictures, the doctors noticed there was something different with his breathing. Phone calls were made and new doctors arrived and they decided they wanted to take him to the NICU. After he got some further tests done, they discovered that he had a collapsed lung. Obviously, no one expected this to happen, but the way these sweet parents supported each other through some very scary moments was just so touching. And although this birth took an unexpected turn, little Brody ended up recovering and is doing SO well now. Needless to say, I’m so thankful I could be there to capture these first precious moments with their little man to remember just how strong and brave he was 🙂
